Financial Services Business Valuation Consultant

About the role

Deloitte's Strategy & Transactions team is seeking a Business Valuation Consultant to support clients on complex equity and debt securities valuations. You will work on regulatory, financial reporting, and tax matters, building models and delivering insights that guide major transformational projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit and non‑audit clients with valuation analyses for complex securities.
• Build and review financial models, analyze statements, conduct industry research, and prepare written reports.
• Communicate scope, approach, assumptions, and deliverables to internal and external stakeholders.
• Supervise junior staff, review work products, and ensure quality and consistency.
• Assist on other valuation and modeling engagements as needed.

Required profile

• 2+ years of business valuation and intangible asset consulting experience.
• Experience in complex securities valuation, including Black‑Scholes, Lattice, and Monte Carlo simulation.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and professional demeanor.

Required skills

• Financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• Proficiency with AI‑enabled tools, VBA, @Risk, and other financial modelling software.
• Knowledge of complex securities valuation methodologies (Black‑Scholes, Lattice, Monte Carlo).
