Financial Management and Analysis - Tencent North America

About the role

Tencent Overseas Finance Center is a financial management team supporting Tencent's globalization strategy, building a global financial infrastructure that helps businesses succeed internationally and operate in compliance. As a key member of the Tencent North America (NA) Finance Center, you will use your knowledge of local compliance and industry practice to drive operational excellence. The role suits a quick learner and is based in Palo Alto, California.

Key responsibilities

• Compliance and risk management: liaise with auditors, external regulators and internal accounting, tax and other teams to assess financial risks and create action plans to improve daily management.
• Cash flow management: monitor NA entities' cash flow, working capital and liquidity, and help optimize cash flow planning.
• Budget and financial management: coordinate with the local business team on budget preparation and quarterly rolling forecasts; review and analyze financial performance and efficiency to help improve resource allocation; improve report quality and meet HQ requirements.
• Process improvements: identify optimization opportunities and collect suggestions from local offices to drive process and policy localization.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy or Finance; professional chartered accountant membership is highly advantageous.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to work with global teams.
• Proactive, hands-on approach suited to a dynamic environment.
• Preferred: technology or internet industry experience, experience with cross-functional or global teams, and professional Mandarin.

What we offer

• Base pay of $80,168 to $109,600 per year, depending on knowledge, skills and experience.
