Financial Controller – On-site in Buffalo, NY

About the role

We are a family‑owned, mid‑sized business in Buffalo, NY, seeking a detail‑oriented Financial Controller to join our in‑house team. This full‑time, on‑site role supports all financial operations, ensures accurate reporting, and works closely with ownership in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations.
• Oversee, improve, and develop accounting workflows and processes.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Reconcile accounts and verify the accuracy of financial data.
• Assist with internal controls and compliance procedures.
• Collaborate with external accountants and auditors as needed.

Required profile

• Active CPA license.
• 10+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a mid‑sized business.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to work on‑site in Buffalo; remote work is not available.
