Financial Controller

About the role

Prestige Wellness Group is seeking a hands‑on Financial Controller to bring structure, accountability, and visibility to its financial operations. Based in New York with a hybrid work model, you will partner with senior leadership to improve cash‑flow management, payroll reliability, and overall financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Own cash‑flow strategy, including daily liquidity, weekly forecasts, and long‑range planning.
• Develop rolling cash‑flow forecasts and advise on spending priorities, capital allocation, and risk mitigation.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning while ensuring adherence to approved budgets.
• Analyze performance, recommend actions to improve profitability, efficiency, and cash preservation.
• Evaluate financing needs, support lending relationships, and assist with capital planning.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team, setting clear performance standards.
• Maintain ERP system accuracy, oversee month‑end close, general‑ledger integrity, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Strengthen internal controls, accounting processes, and financial governance.
• Provide timely, accurate financial reports to investors and leadership.
• Collaborate with HR, Operations, and Project Management to enhance planning and reporting discipline.

Required profile

• 6–10 years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in small‑to‑mid‑size or growth‑stage companies.
• Full‑cycle accounting and month‑end close expertise.
• Hands‑on experience with cash‑flow management and payroll processes.
• Strong attention to detail and an ownership mindset.
• Ability to thrive in resource‑constrained or fast‑changing environments (preferred).
• Familiarity with commission structures and variable compensation (preferred).
• Proven track record improving financial processes and controls (preferred).
