Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to lead our finance team in Dallas. This hands‑on leadership role oversees all aspects of financial operations, compliance, and reporting, with a focus on healthcare finance and revenue cycle management. The position reports directly to the CEO and requires strong analytical and leadership capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare and present GAAP‑compliant financial statements.
• Maintain books of accounts on both accrual and cash basis.
• Manage accounts payable and vendor relationships.
• Oversee accounts receivable and optimize collections.
• Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with labor laws.
• Lead tax planning and compliance (federal, state, and sales tax).
• Coordinate with auditors to ensure timely completion of audited financials.
• Manage banking relationships and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Oversee customer contract financial terms and revenue recognition.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Ensure internal controls and regulatory compliance (SOX, HIPAA).
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff.

Required profile

• 7+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in healthcare or revenue cycle management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA preferred.
• Report directly to the CEO and manage a finance team.
• Full‑time, on‑site position in Dallas, TX.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial modeling.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and ADP Payroll systems.
• Extensive experience in accounts payable, vendor management, accounts receivable, and revenue collection.
• Hands‑on expertise in tax planning (federal, state, sales), budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with SOX and HIPAA regulatory compliance.
