Financial Controller

About the role

This is a hands‑on, operator‑focused Financial Controller position for a high‑growth startup. You will be the first dedicated accounting leader, building the finance function from the ground up across a new group of entities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain the chart of accounts, accounting policies, and internal controls for multiple entities.
• Own the full close cycle (monthly, quarterly, annual) and produce consolidated financial statements.
• Manage intercompany accounting, journal entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Partner with FP&A to deliver accurate actuals for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure audit readiness, tax compliance, and timely financial reporting.

Required profile

• 7+ years of accounting experience.
• Proven track record managing accounting across multiple entities.
• Clear communicator able to translate financial data for scientific and operational teams.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Experience in startup environments and/or pharma, biotech, or life‑sciences sectors is a plus.

Required skills

• NetSuite proficiency.
