Financial Controller

About the role

The firm is an asset management company focused on hospitality investments. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Financial Controller will lead accounting operations and treasury management across multiple entities and hotel properties, providing high‑visibility exposure to senior leadership and investment activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting for multiple entities and hotel assets.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and prepare GAAP‑compliant financial statements.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors and third‑party operators.
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and operational accounting functions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis initiatives.
• Lead treasury operations, cash positioning and liquidity management.
• Manage banking relationships and optimize cash‑management strategies.
• Monitor debt compliance, covenant reporting and lender requirements.
• Coordinate intercompany funding, capital movements and property‑level cash flows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Experience in real estate, hospitality, private equity or asset management is strongly preferred.
• Deep understanding of multi‑entity accounting structures.
• Proven treasury and cash‑management experience.
• Advanced Excel and financial‑systems proficiency.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with senior leadership.
