Financial Controller – Finance & Controlling

About the role

The Financial Controller for MOIA America LLC will ensure accurate, reliable, and timely financial performance reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and project controlling across all MOIA activities in the United States. The role works closely with VWGoA Finance and MOIA GmbH Accounting/Controlling to guarantee that U.S.-based financial movements are correctly recorded and transparent.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly and annual financial performance reports.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cost‑control processes for the U.S. entity.
• Perform financial analysis, account reconciliation and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and legal entities across countries to ensure consistent financial data.
• Support project controlling and integration initiatives, joining people, processes and systems.
• Maintain compliance with Volkswagen Group financial systems and reporting standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in finance, controlling or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to prioritize high‑leverage opportunities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present findings clearly.
• Proven ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines and drive projects to completion.
• Experience working in a multinational environment and collaborating across functions.

Required skills

• Financial controlling and budgeting expertise.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Use of ThinkCell for presentation creation.
