Financial Controller – Aviation Engineering

About the role

Gables Engineering Inc, a HEICO company, is seeking a Controller to lead all financial management activities for its custom avionic controls business. The role combines full P&L ownership, regulatory reporting, and strategic financial planning to support rapid product development and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Own the complete P&L and balance sheet, driving monthly, quarterly and annual close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, operating reports and variance analyses for internal leadership and HEICO/ETG.
• Lead the annual budgeting cycle, periodic re‑forecasts, cash‑flow analysis and capital‑expenditure planning.
• Oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, work‑in‑progress and supply‑chain cost drivers.
• Ensure compliance with SOX 404, SEC reporting requirements, local tax regulations and internal controls.
• Manage the IFS ERP system for finance operations and future upgrades.
• Partner with senior leadership on strategic investments and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in full‑cycle financial management, preferably in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting and SOX compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead budgeting, forecasting and cost‑accounting processes.
• Excellent analytical skills with a data‑driven approach to operational finance.
