Financial and Regulatory Reporting (IFRS & US) Consultant

About the role

Santander is seeking a Financial and Regulatory Reporting Consultant to lead the preparation and filing of IFRS and US regulatory reports for its BSI unit. The role ensures data integrity, compliance with regulatory requirements, and supports automation initiatives within the finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file Head Office (BSSA) and European Central Bank (ECB) reports, including IFRS month‑end closing, satellites, RIG and Cartera de Negociación.
• Produce BSI regulatory reports such as TICs, FR2900, FFIEC 009/009A, FRY15, FRY9C, FR2886B and FFIEC 031.
• Calculate Risk Weighted Assets and regulatory capital on a monthly basis for BSI, Head Office and IHC management.
• Prepare quarterly SEC reports and provide input for IHC regulatory filings.
• Coordinate automation and system upgrade projects, including migration and data mapping for US and IFRS reporting processes.
• Collaborate with vendors (Hexaware, Regnology), IT and other business units to design and maintain reporting applications.

Required profile

• Strong background in financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with IFRS and US regulatory frameworks (FFIEC, SEC).
• Ability to ensure data accuracy, internal controls and timely submission of reports.
• Proven analytical skills for variance and trend analysis.
• Effective communication and coordination with cross‑functional teams.
