Financial Analyst

About the role

Kyocera-AVX is hiring a Financial Analyst to administer the financial programs and activities for its plant or division. The role works with management and department heads at plant, division and corporate levels, preparing budgets and forecasts, reconciling inventories and performing general accounting duties in the monthly close.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly rolling forecasts, monthly closes and variance analysis
• Prepare the annual budget and develop standard costs
• Monitor variance tracking, cost-reduction projects, performance ratios, break-even points and product flows
• Analyze material, labor and overhead cost trends
• Perform general accounting duties and oversee financial preparation
• Track inventory to ensure proper valuation and accuracy
• Interface with senior management on costs, trends and major variances, and report financial results to plant and corporate management
• Manage multiple financial and accounting systems, reconcile them and maintain reporting integrity
• Ensure adherence to financial controls and identify profit opportunities
• Travel may be required periodically to support operations

Required profile

• Ability to summarize complicated financial data in a simple and concise way
• Strong communication and presentation skills, able to present complex financial data to operations leadership teams

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office, specifically advanced use of MS Excel
• Experience with large ERP and other dynamic financial systems is preferred
