Financial Analyst – Business Finance, CIB

About the role

HSBC is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its US Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) Business Finance team. The analyst will provide financial analysis, reporting, and strategic insights that support senior finance leadership and drive business performance across multiple CIB product lines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models, metrics, and reporting tools to track business results.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis on product pricing, client profitability, and cost‑benefit evaluations.
• Support planning, forecasting, and stress‑testing processes, including scenario analysis.
• Partner with Finance, Product, and Business stakeholders to respond to ad‑hoc analysis requests.
• Prepare data‑driven insights and presentations for senior management.
• Work across CIB areas such as Credit & Capital Management, Capital Markets Advisory, Global Payments Solutions, and Global Trade Solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance data quality, and increase efficiency.
• Contribute to digital finance transformation initiatives, including automation of reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, statistics or a related field (MBA a plus).
• Experience in financial analysis or business finance preferred.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skillsets with high attention to detail.
• Interest in Corporate & Institutional Banking and related financial products.
• Knowledge of financial modeling, reporting, and performance analysis.
