Finance Director

About the role

Central Church is looking for a strategic Finance Director to lead financial stewardship, build scalable systems, and guide executive decisions in a growing multisite nonprofit environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with executive leadership to shape long‑term financial health, develop forecasting models and scenario planning for ministry growth and campus expansion.
• Oversee nonprofit fund accounting, manage restricted and operational funds, and ensure compliance through annual audits and transparent policies.
• Lead modernization of financial technology platforms, integrate secure payment systems, and develop dashboards and analytics using tools such as Power BI.
• Assess and mitigate financial risks, including fraud, cyber threats, and compliance vulnerabilities, and provide clear financial insights to leaders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 7–10+ years of financial leadership experience, preferably in nonprofit or mission‑driven organizations.
• Strong expertise in nonprofit fund accounting and financial forecasting.
• Demonstrated ability to build financial models, manage risk, and lead finance teams.

Required skills

• Power BI for financial dashboards and analytics.
• Implementation and management of financial technology systems.
• Experience with ACH, wire, and major payment verification processes.
• Risk management and fraud prevention techniques.
