Field Service Technician

About the role

Join Vivint Smart Home, an NRG‑owned company, as a Field Service Technician in Fargo, ND. You will install, service and support industry‑leading smart home technology, building trusted relationships with customers while delivering exceptional service.

Key responsibilities

• Install and service smart home security, thermostat and automation systems, including cameras and smart locks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on‑site.
• Educate customers on product features and functionality.
• Conduct onsite evaluations, recommend upgrades and generate additional earnings through uncapped commissions.
• Maintain quality, safety and installation standards while managing daily appointments and work orders.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license with a clean record and ability to pass background, drug test and licensing requirements.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, integrity and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to learn and use technology, with strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
