Field Service Technician, Crew Based, Commercial

About the role

As a Commercial Field Service Technician you will travel across the United States to install, maintain, and troubleshoot Tesla’s commercial energy products, primarily solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. You will work directly with customers to ensure their systems operate reliably and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Layout and assist in the assembly of solar modules, mounting hardware, and electrical equipment.
• Organize trucks and equipment for daily installs and removals, keeping everything neat and ready.
• Perform preventive maintenance on commercial PV systems and mentor team members as needed.
• Respond to corrective maintenance cases for solar, energy storage, and EV charging products, logging cases accurately.
• Address customer concerns regarding system performance or functionality.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience with PV equipment installation, preferably commercial or utility‑scale.
• Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, ability to read electrical plan sets and equipment manuals.
• Physical ability to work at heights, lift at least 50 lb, and endure extreme environments (heat, cold, rooftops, crawl spaces).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel 100 % of the time.
