Field Service Specialist

About the role

MassMutual is seeking a Field Service Specialist to join the MMSD Advisor Onboarding team in Springfield, MA. You will be the first point of contact for new producers, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience and supporting the distribution partners across life, disability insurance, and annuities.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process onboarding applications for new producers, performing due‑diligence checks and background reviews.
• Communicate outstanding requirements, update system records, and ensure compliance with state and business standards.
• Respond to inbound inquiries via phone, email, and work requests, meeting established turnaround times and quality standards.
• Provide business expertise to identify improvement opportunities, support team KPIs, and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of customer‑service experience (including internships or part‑time work).
• Ability to pass a non‑registered background check and meet FINRA fingerprinting requirements.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask under changing priorities.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of mainframe applications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Quantitative proficiency for manual calculations.
