Field Service Professional/Electrician (Medford, OR)

About the role

Join Vivint Smart Home as a Field Service Professional/Electrician, where you will be the face of the company installing cutting‑edge smart‑home technology and identifying upgrade opportunities for customers. This role blends technical expertise with consultative sales to deliver safer, smarter, and more sustainable homes.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service and troubleshoot security cameras, smart locks and home automation systems in customers’ homes.
• Assess each residence and recommend upgraded smart‑home equipment or service enhancements, generating sales on‑site.
• Educate homeowners on the operation and maintenance of their new smart‑home solutions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations, service calls and sales activities.

Required profile

• Customer‑focused attitude with strong integrity and communication skills.
• Sales mindset; experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance or service‑based sales is a plus.
• Valid Oregon LEA (Licensed Electrical Apprentice) or equivalent electrician license.
• Willingness to undergo paid training and ongoing coaching.

Required skills

• LEA electrical license (or equivalent).
• Installation and troubleshooting of smart‑home devices such as security cameras and smart locks.
• Basic electrical wiring and low‑voltage system knowledge.
