Field Service Professional – Smart Home Technology

About the role

Join Vivint Smart Home as a Field Service Professional, the front‑line expert who installs and maintains cutting‑edge smart home technology for residential customers in Columbia, SC. You will blend technical installation work with consultative sales to deliver safer, more connected homes.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot security cameras, smart locks, and home automation systems.
• Assess customer homes on‑site and recommend upgrades or additional services.
• Educate homeowners on system operation and best practices for security and energy efficiency.
• Maintain accurate service records and report any issues to the support team.
• Drive a company‑provided vehicle, using a gas card and paid drive‑time for appointments.

Required profile

• Customer‑first attitude with strong communication skills.
• Sales mindset – experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance, or service sales is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a field environment and manage a daily schedule.
• Willingness to undergo comprehensive paid training and ongoing coaching.
