Field Service Professional – Smart Home Installation

About the role

Join Vivint Smart Home, an NRG-owned leader in smart home security, as a Field Service Professional. You will install, service, and support cutting‑edge smart home technology, building trusted relationships with customers while ensuring their homes are safer and more connected.

Key responsibilities

• Install and service smart home security, thermostat, and automation systems, including cameras and smart locks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on site.
• Educate customers on product features and functionality.
• Conduct onsite evaluations to recommend equipment upgrades or service enhancements.
• Maintain quality, safety, and installation standards while managing daily appointments and work orders.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license with a clean record and ability to pass background and drug tests.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, climb ladders, and work in varied weather conditions.

Required skills

• Installation and servicing of smart home security systems.
• Thermostat and home automation system installation.
• Technical troubleshooting of smart devices.
