Field Service Engineer – Imaging Systems

About the role

Join Philips as a Field Service Engineer for Imaging Systems, providing on‑site technical support to healthcare customers in the Rapid City area. You will install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain diagnostic imaging equipment while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installations, preventative maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of CT, MR, and X‑ray systems at customer sites.
• Document service work, complete timesheets, expense reports, and regulatory paperwork within required timeframes.
• Travel up to 70% of the time, with average daily driving of 1‑4 hours and occasional overnight stays.
• Collaborate with regional teams to improve processes, identify training needs, and generate service revenue.

Required profile

• 1+ years of experience in diagnostic imaging service or 3+ years in electromechanical industries.
• Associate degree in electronics or equivalent; BSEE/BSEET/BSME preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and on‑call rotations.
• US work authorization and residence within commuting distance to Rapid City, SD.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance (MR), and Diagnostic X‑ray (DXR) equipment.
• Strong understanding of electronic, mechanical, and networking theory.
• Proficiency with diagnostic imaging tools and test equipment.
