Field Service Engineer – CT/MRI

About the role

Join Philips as a Field Service Engineer focused on CT and MRI equipment, providing on‑site technical support to healthcare customers in the Syracuse area. You will combine technical expertise with customer service to ensure imaging systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain CT and MRI equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance, field change orders, and documentation in compliance with Philips, state, and federal regulations.
• Travel up to 70% of the time, including occasional overnight stays and air/train travel.
• Generate service revenue by understanding customer business needs and delivering timely solutions.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in diagnostic imaging service or 4+ years in electromechanical industries.
• Associate degree in electronics or equivalent; BSEE/BSEET/BSME preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and on‑call rotations.
• US work authorization and residence within commuting distance to Syracuse, NY.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with CT and MRI imaging equipment.
• Knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and networking theory for installation and repair.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and test equipment.
• Radiation safety practices and use of personal protective equipment.
