Field Operator – Process (LNG Facility)

About the role

The Field Operator, Process is the primary on‑site point of contact for safe, reliable and efficient operation of LNG plant equipment. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor and taking direction from the DCS Operator, you will work across the process area to ensure optimal performance of pumps, compressors and other PLC‑controlled units.

Key responsibilities

• Operate field process equipment in compliance with environmental, safety and permit limits.
• Monitor and adjust operating parameters of pumps, compressors and stand‑alone PLC packages.
• Verify that safety systems and field devices are functional, or implement approved alternate safeguards.
• Provide first‑line incident control and complete all required safety and environmental documentation.
• Troubleshoot abnormal process deviations and report safety or environmental concerns to the shift team.

Required profile

• Qualified on the physical properties of LNG and able to recognize equipment or process changes in the field.
• Thorough understanding of LNG plant operating procedures, maintenance protocols and Permit‑to‑Work practices.
• Familiarity with governmental compliance, regulatory requirements and technical safety standards.
• Ability to collaborate with operations personnel, supervisors, managers and directors.
