Field Engineer – Coatings (CIF)

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Field Engineer specialized in Coatings (CIF) to support the Rio Grande LNG project in Brownsville, Texas. You will work on‑site, ensuring that field engineering activities are planned, executed safely, and meet quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare construction drawings, sketches, and plan construction methods.
• Initiate requisitions for field purchases and perform quantity takeoffs for materials and equipment.
• Verify commodity quantities using tracking systems and databases.
• Implement and monitor zero‑accident safety philosophy and quality‑control requirements.
• Conduct technical inspections, testing, and coordinate with subcontractors.

Required profile

• Experience in field engineering within large‑scale construction or energy projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of material management, quantity verification, and safety procedures.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with craft workers and subcontractors.
