Field Account Manager - Redi Carpet (Indianapolis)

About the role

Redi Carpet, part of HD Supply, is looking for a Field Account Manager to own a high-potential territory across Indianapolis and the surrounding communities. The role involves building lasting relationships with property managers, owners and multifamily communities while driving new business growth. It requires face-to-face prospecting and selling, and the use of a company vehicle more than half the time.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sales and customer retention initiatives, and oversee sales planning, forecasting and reporting.
• Set up a sales call schedule and visit customers in person to promote value-added solutions and handle objections.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified accounts using the company's CRM tool.
• Use cold calling to grow new accounts and implement approved sales strategies.
• Use Salesforce reporting and data analysis to spot growth opportunities, and review the customer portfolio to act on underperforming accounts.
• Collaborate with inside sales and keep up with industry product knowledge.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field; typically 5-8 years of experience, or 3-5 years with a master's degree.
• Preferred: B2B sales experience, including consultative or solution-based selling, flooring experience, and proficiency with Salesforce.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR); a company vehicle or personal vehicle is needed more than 50% of the week, and overnight travel is less than 10% of the time.
