Federal Work Study – Air Conditioning Technology

About the role

This Federal Work Study position supports the Air Conditioning Technology program at Athens Technical College, providing hands‑on administrative assistance while you continue your studies.

Key responsibilities

• Answer phone calls, make outbound calls, and assist with internal and external program inquiries.
• Support orientations and testing for students in the program.
• Operate office equipment and perform basic computer tasks using Microsoft Office and internet research.
• Run errands on campus and perform other clerical duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in at least 6 credit hours and have completed 1‑2 courses in Air Conditioning Technology.
• Maintain satisfactory academic progress and have a completed FAFSA for the aid year.
• Not be in default on any federal aid and have a verified financial‑aid file.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and a solid work ethic.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to conduct internet research and manage basic computer tasks.

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $10.00 (maximum) for up to 19.5 hours per week.
• No State of Georgia benefits, but a valuable work‑study experience.
