Adjunct Instructor – Early Childhood Care and Education

About the role

The State of Georgia, through Athens Technical College, seeks an Adjunct Instructor to teach Early Childhood Care and Education courses. The position involves delivering curriculum that aligns with TCSG standards and supporting student success in a post‑secondary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses, following approved syllabi and TCSG curricular competencies.
• Maintain accurate student records, grade examinations, and submit required reports on time.
• Participate in program meetings, trainings, workshops, and annual textbook reviews.
• Ensure safety and security in training areas and complete all mandatory employee trainings.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• At least 18 graduate semester hours in the relevant discipline and appropriate accreditation credentials.
• One to three years of experience working with children ages 0‑5, preferably with evening‑class availability.
• Previous post‑secondary teaching or online instruction experience is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Blackboard learning platform.
• Familiarity with video capture tools for online teaching.
