Federal Superintendent – Military Construction

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Federal Superintendent to direct day‑to‑day field operations on Military Construction (MILCON) projects. You will manage all onsite activities from site development through vertical construction and interior finishes, ensuring strict compliance with federal quality, safety, and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations, supervising subcontractors, field personnel, equipment, deliveries, and work sequencing.
• Maintain site logistics plans, including material staging, access control, traffic flow, and phasing.
• Conduct daily site walks, monitor progress, resolve issues, and verify compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Develop short‑term look‑ahead schedules and integrate them into the overall project schedule.
• Enforce safety programs per the Site‑Specific Safety and Health Plan and EM 385‑1‑1, conduct briefings, toolbox talks, and inspections.
• Ensure security compliance, manage restricted‑area access, and verify personnel credentials.
• Support the USACE/NAVFAC three‑phase quality‑control program and verify work meets UFC/UFGS and contract requirements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of superintendent or field‑leadership experience on civil and vertical construction.
• Experience supporting DoD, USACE, NAVFAC, or large commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, site logistics, scheduling, and means‑and‑methods.
• Working knowledge of UFC/UFGS, EM 385‑1‑1, USACE/NAVFAC QC programs, FAR/DFARS, and AT/FP standards.
• Proficiency with Procore, Primavera P6, and related construction‑management platforms.
• OSHA 30 certification.
