Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officer

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas‑Houston Branch is hiring a Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officer to maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors, and assets. The officer will apply law‑enforcement best practices and operate physical‑security technologies to protect the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Screen personnel, vehicles, packages and parcels using x‑ray, metal detection, visual inspection and other security equipment.
• Identify, report and respond to security breaches, suspicious activities, and health‑safety incidents.
• Verify access requests and control entry to the Bank’s premises, buildings and secure areas.
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols to deter and detect potential threats.
• Investigate unusual occurrences and suspicious persons on site.
• Provide emergency medical response, including first aid, CPR and AED usage.
• Maintain knowledge of Federal Reserve policies, relevant laws and the authority granted to Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officers.

Required profile

• Minimum 30 college credit hours or a high school diploma/GED; military or law‑enforcement experience may substitute.
• At least 21 years of age with a valid state driver’s license.
• Professional demeanor and ability to work independently.
• Understanding of Federal Reserve Act, Section 11q and applicable federal, state and local laws.
