Federal Market Director

About the role

Woolpert is seeking a seasoned Federal Market Director to lead its Buildings Sector federal business across multiple locations in the United States and abroad. Reporting to the Executive Vice President of the Buildings Sector, you will shape market strategy, drive revenue growth, and ensure superior client service for federal agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive market development plan for federal clients, including the Army, Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, VA, NATO and other agencies.
• Coordinate strategy with peers in the Infrastructure and Geospatial sectors to align objectives.
• Lead financial planning, set sales targets, and monitor KPI performance.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with federal customers, delivering value through competency, delivery excellence, and thought leadership.
• Oversee a team of seller‑doers, ensuring alignment between plan, execution, and strategic goals.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in the federal market with a proven record of revenue generation.
• Strong leadership presence and ability to collaborate across departments.
• Demonstrated success in market penetration and professional development of teams.
• Familiarity with alternative delivery models such as Design‑Build for government projects.
