FBI Special Agent – Law/Legal Background

About the role

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is seeking candidates with a law or legal background to join as Special Agents. In this role you will apply your analytical and investigative abilities to protect national security and public safety across a range of threats, including cyber‑attacks, terrorism, fraud and violent crime.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct investigations and gather evidence related to violent crimes, cyber threats, terrorism and financial fraud.
• Analyze complex data sets, identify patterns, and produce actionable intelligence for case teams.
• Prepare detailed reports, legal documents, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other law‑enforcement agencies, prosecutors and intelligence partners.
• Maintain accurate inventory of investigative tools and evidence.

Required profile

• Degree in law, legal studies, or related field with demonstrated litigation, financial analysis, or legal writing experience.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to interpret complex information.
• Excellent judgment, adaptability, and resilience in high‑pressure situations.
