About the role

Use your cybersecurity background to become an FBI Special Agent, protecting the nation from cyber‑attacks, terrorism, fraud and emerging threats. You will receive specialized training, work with elite professionals, and apply your technical expertise to real‑world investigations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct investigations of potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity incidents, and public safety threats.
• Exercise judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet investigative demands.
• Create and maintain liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law‑enforcement agencies.
• Maintain a level of physical fitness required for law‑enforcement duties.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship.
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Meet the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in computer science, engineering, data science or a related field.
