Fashion Designer – Daywear Dresses

About the role

BCI Brands is building a new two‑person design team focused on daywear and casual dresses. As a Designer – Dresses you will shape the brand’s dress category, creating modern, wearable collections that resonate with today’s customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop day and casual dress collections for the brand.
• Research and interpret seasonal trends, colors, and fabric directions.
• Create sketches, CADs, and presentation boards for internal reviews.
• Collaborate closely with the Creative Director to define design vision and direction.
• Partner with product development and technical design teams to ensure execution of design intent.
• Select fabrics, trims, and details that align with brand positioning and cost targets.
• Participate in fittings and provide input on garment construction, fit, and proportion.
• Manage multiple seasons and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• 3–6+ years of experience in women’s apparel design, specifically dresses.
• Strong experience in daywear/casual dress design (non‑eveningwear).
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Experience creating CAD drawings.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and fit.
