About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner to join our rural community health center in Seward, Alaska. This full‑time position offers the chance to deliver comprehensive primary care to a close‑knit population while enjoying the unique outdoor lifestyle of the region.
Key responsibilities
- Provide primary care services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
- Perform minor procedures, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop individualized care plans.
- Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and self‑management.
- Engage in community outreach programs and quality‑assurance initiatives.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of primary‑care experience, with at least 3 years in a rural setting.
- Experience in women’s health and pediatrics is preferred.
- Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current Alaska NP license or eligibility, DEA registration, and BLS certification.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

- Salary range $130,000–$155,000 per year.
