Family-Intergenerational Ministries Director

About the role

The Family-Intergenerational Ministries Director will lead and coordinate faith‑building activities for children, youth, and families, fostering intergenerational connections throughout the congregation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and direct regular educational, fellowship, service, and enrichment programs for preschool through high‑school youth.
• Teach and lead intergenerational activities while recruiting and supporting lay leaders.
• Collaborate with the pastor, staff, and congregational leaders to integrate families into all aspects of church life.
• Identify and facilitate relationship‑building opportunities between congregation members of all ages and young families in the wider community.
• Support partnerships with local organizations such as the Hudson Area Public Library, Hudson Y, and schools.
• Facilitate Christian formation experiences for children and youth both at church and for home use.
• Promote children, youth, and intergenerational ministries using email, newsletters, social media, and worship announcements.
• Uphold First Presbyterian Church’s core values, policies, and procedures.

• Creative and detail‑oriented, enjoying event planning logistics.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across all ages.
• Maturity, respect for theological diversity, and a collaborative spirit.
