Faculty Position in Anatomy (Full or Part‑Time)

About the role
The Department of Anatomy at Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine seeks an innovative, energetic faculty member to teach first‑ and second‑year osteopathic medical students. The appointment can be full‑time or part‑time and will contribute to a collaborative, purpose‑driven academic environment.
Key responsibilities
- Instruct first‑ and second‑year osteopathic medical students in systems and laboratory anatomy courses.
- Develop board‑style (COMLEX/USMLE) examination questions.
- Mentor and advise students.
- Participate in curriculum development, implementation, and assessment.
- Provide service to the institution, community, and profession.
- Engage in scholarly activities, including research and publications.
- Support organizational health initiatives that enhance leadership, communication, and culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required profile
- Earned terminal degree (PhD, DO, MD, DSc, etc.) by start date; candidates with a Master’s in anatomical science and extensive teaching experience may be considered.
- Experience teaching anatomical science at the undergraduate or graduate/professional level.
- Demonstrated or potential record of scholarly activity or research in a related field.
- Strong commitment to medical education and a passion for teaching.
Required skills
- Expertise in human anatomy and related scientific disciplines.
- Curriculum design and assessment.
- Board‑style exam question development.
- Student mentorship and advising.
