Faculty Credentials Specialist

About the role

The Faculty Credentials Specialist supports the academic mission of North Georgia Technical College by maintaining accurate faculty credential records. Working closely with the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Academic Deans, you will ensure that all faculty meet departmental credential standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update credential files for full‑time and part‑time/adjunct faculty.
• Perform preliminary credential evaluations to assist hiring decisions.
• Collect and document justification for non‑standard credential qualifications.
• Enter and update faculty information in the college’s computerized database.
• Record changes to program offerings, requirements, and courses in the Curriculum, Advising, and Program Planning module.
• Generate and distribute required reports for the college, TCSG, and accreditation agencies.
• Support accurate graduation audits and student registration processes.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree (or equivalent experience).
• At least one year of data‑entry experience.
• Three years of related work experience in academic or administrative settings.
• Ability to interpret credential requirements across multiple departments.
