Facility Manager – Operations Leader

About the role

The Facility Manager leads day‑to‑day operations at a Denali organic recycling plant, overseeing receiving, processing, bagging and sale of organic materials. This senior position owns the facility P&L, drives continuous improvement, and ensures safe, compliant, and profitable operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and embed Denali’s core values – Care For Our Future, Climb Higher, Dig Deeper, Stand Together – across the workforce.
• Hire, train, develop and evaluate facility staff, providing input on promotions and terminations.
• Coordinate all operational activities including receiving, depackaging, composting, processing, testing, bagging, selling and shipping of finished products.
• Generate daily operational reports and track key performance metrics.
• Create and execute operational plans to meet performance targets while adhering to safety, environmental and regulatory standards.
• Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships to support cost‑effective operations.
• Represent Denali professionally with customers, regulators and community stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a large‑scale facility with full P&L responsibility.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of building high‑performing teams.
• Deep understanding of safety, environmental and regulatory compliance in waste‑processing environments.
• Ability to analyze financial performance, control costs and meet budget objectives.
• Excellent communication skills to align staff with strategic priorities.
