Facilities Technician – Building Maintenance

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis is seeking a Facilities Technician II to maintain critical operating equipment and perform general repairs across its Memphis location. This day‑shift role supports a wide range of building systems while delivering high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Perform building maintenance including lighting, minor carpentry, plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Assist senior technicians on various facilities projects and emergency power generation systems.
• Install and service cubicle workstations, panels, electrical and data cabling.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, 5S protocols, and track work order progress.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and respond to overtime needs with minimal notice.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2‑5 years of commercial building maintenance experience.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, bend and use ladders safely.

Required skills

• Operation of power tools and hand tools (saws, drills, sanders, power lifts).
• Use of electrical testing equipment.
• Fork lift and scissor lift experience.
• Basic plumbing and fabrication (wood/metals) skills.
• Familiarity with emergency power generation systems and 5S workplace organization.
