Facilities Manager

About the role

The Facilities Manager reports to the Ministries Pastor within the Ministries department and is responsible for the maintenance, operation and improvement of all church buildings, grounds and physical assets. The role covers daily maintenance, facility projects, small remodels and the preparation of venues for special events, keeping the campus safe, clean, functional and welcoming.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preventive and routine maintenance of buildings, HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems and grounds, and schedule and supervise contractors and vendors.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and conduct regular inspections for repair needs and safety hazards.
• Lead small-scale remodeling and renovation projects from planning to completion, coordinating with church leadership on design, budget and schedule, and ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards.
• Coordinate facility set-up and breakdown for special events such as conferences and holiday services.
• Recruit, train and manage maintenance staff and volunteers, and lead and schedule facilities and custodial staff.
• Develop and manage the annual facilities budget and keep detailed records of maintenance schedules, work orders and completed projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in facilities management, construction or a related field.
• Strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage several projects at once with attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with building systems, general construction and custodial operations.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings when needed.
