Export & Agency Finance Analyst – Latin America Focus

About the role

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking is seeking an Analyst to join its Export & Agency Finance (EAF) team in the United States, concentrating on Latin American markets and multilateral agency financings. The role provides exposure to complex cross‑border transactions and close interaction with clients, multilaterals, and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support origination, structuring, and execution of EAF transactions, especially those backed by agencies such as IDB, IFC, and CAF.
• Assist end‑to‑end on deals, from pitch preparation to closing, including term sheets and credit materials.
• Build and maintain financial models, performing cash‑flow and profitability analysis.
• Coordinate with coverage, risk, legal, compliance, markets, and syndication teams across multiple geographies.
• Support client relationship management by preparing pitchbooks and participating in meetings.
• Contribute to credit approval processes, due diligence, and transaction documentation.
• Monitor portfolio performance and stay informed on market, geopolitical, and agency developments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field.
• 1–4 years of experience in structured finance, export finance, project finance, or corporate banking.
• Familiarity with export credit agency (ECA) or multilateral agency financing structures is preferred.
• Strong analytical abilities and financial modeling expertise.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross‑border, multicultural environment.
• Professional fluency in Spanish (written and spoken) is a plus.
