Experienced Tax Preparers – Seasonal Opportunity

About the role

We are looking for experienced tax preparers to join Jackson Hewitt for a seasonal, flexible‑schedule position. You will use your knowledge of individual tax law to help clients file accurate federal and state returns while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual income tax returns using Jackson Hewitt’s tax software.
• Apply current tax regulations to ensure compliance and maximize client refunds.
• Provide clear explanations of tax concepts and answer client questions.
• Maintain accurate records and follow confidentiality standards.

Required profile

• At least two tax seasons of experience preparing individual returns.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.
• Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn new systems.
• Preferred background in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or sales.

Required skills

• Tax preparation software (as used by Jackson Hewitt).
