Experienced Litigation Paralegal – Healthcare & Medical Defense

About the role

The Law Offices of Marshall Dennehey, a nationally recognized civil defense litigation firm, is seeking an experienced paralegal to support its healthcare and medical malpractice defense practice in Cleveland, OH. The role is hybrid, combining remote work with on‑site collaboration in a fast‑paced, collegial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain, review, and analyze medical, financial, tax, and employment documents.
• Create detailed medical and factual chronologies.
• Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, and witness files.
• Compile evidence through discovery documents, transcripts, and databases.
• Manage and organize electronic and physical case files.
• Coordinate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and support services.
• Generate status reports, logs, and case indexes.
• Correspond with clients and opposing law firms.
• Conduct legal and medical research, including review of expert materials.
• Communicate with experts and assess their qualifications and prior testimony.

Required profile

• Highly organized and detail‑oriented.
• Comfortable managing fast‑paced discovery and preparing cases for trial.
• Able to independently maintain a caseload.
• Motivated to advance a paralegal career in a supportive, teamwork‑focused firm.
