Experienced Engineer – Lead Complex Projects

About the role

Strata-G is seeking experienced engineers with at least five years of experience to lead complex technical projects supporting critical operations, equipment design, and national security infrastructure. The role requires advanced problem‑solving abilities, regulatory compliance focus, and a DOE Q‑level security clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects through design, implementation, testing, and lifecycle validation.
• Maintain regulatory compliance with DOE orders, federal regulations, and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of scientists, procurement staff, and federal stakeholders.
• Perform advanced modeling using engineering software to create detailed specifications and architectures.
• Conduct analysis and troubleshooting to identify failure mechanisms and implement corrective actions.
• Mentor junior engineers, providing technical oversight and fostering collaboration.
• Manage project controls, including work planning, scheduling, and cost estimating.

Required profile

• Engineering disciplines: Nuclear, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Chemical, Electrical (ABET‑accredited degree).
• Active DOE Q security clearance (or DoD Top Secret eligible for reciprocity) and U.S. citizenship.
• Minimum five years of engineering experience in a highly regulated environment.
• Bachelor of Science in an engineering field or related technical discipline.
• Proven hands‑on experience with modern data systems, specialized CAD/modeling tools, or nuclear safety documentation.
• High integrity, discretion, and clear communication skills for handling classified data.
