Experience Lead, Chestnut Hill

About the role

The Experience Lead is the standard-bearer of the club floor at an Equinox club in Chestnut Hill, Newton, MA. This is a highly visible, service-obsessed role that keeps the fitness floor immaculate, safe and unmistakably Equinox, while protecting the club environment and driving ancillary revenue through educated, service-based engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain immaculate fitness floor standards through continuous re-racking, organization, cleaning protocols and equipment presentation
• Conduct daily equipment checks and complete opening and closing checklists, escalating maintenance needs promptly
• Keep an active floor presence, monitoring usage and anticipating member needs
• Support the front desk and help facilitate group fitness class transitions (concierging)
• Stay current on CPR/AED certification and act as the on-floor first responder for medical incidents and emergencies
• Ensure full adherence to LPMS and company safety standards, addressing member conduct proactively and professionally
• Deliver a warm, personalized, white-glove experience, with special attention to first-time members
• Build member relationships that drive retention and address poor member behavior
• Promote and help book Equifit sessions, Spa services and Pilates through service-based selling, keeping up to date on offerings, pricing and promotions

Required profile

• Genuine passion for health, fitness and hospitality
• Proven ability to engage members and influence behavior with professionalism
• Minimum of 1 year in customer service or related experience
• Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Legal right to work in the United States

Required skills

• CPR/AED certification, or willingness to obtain it upon hire
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-touch environment
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, walk constantly, squat, stoop, reach and bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
