Executive Vice President - Commercial Construction

About the role

This is a unique opportunity to launch and lead a new Commercial Construction Division for an established Atlanta‑based general contractor. You will shape the division’s strategy, build a high‑performing team, and drive profitable growth across multiple commercial markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the division’s business strategy from inception to full operation.
• Identify and secure new projects in light industrial, distribution, automotive, retail and related sectors.
• Establish and nurture relationships with owners, developers, architects and industry partners.
• Oversee pre‑construction, field operations, financial performance and overall execution.
• Recruit, mentor and develop a high‑performing construction team while leveraging existing corporate resources.
• Partner with ownership on long‑term growth strategy, culture and organizational development.
• Implement scalable processes and systems to support sustained expansion.
• Ensure profitability, client satisfaction and repeat business.

Required profile

• 15+ years of leadership experience in commercial construction.
• Proven track record growing a construction business unit, regional office, or entrepreneurial contractor.
• Experience delivering projects in light industrial, distribution, automotive, retail or similar markets.
• Established network of owners, developers and industry partners.
• Strong financial and operational leadership with full P&L responsibility.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop and lead high‑performing teams.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with passion for building businesses and creating long‑term value.
• Willingness to relocate to or currently reside in Atlanta.
