Executive Director – Senior Living Community

About the role

Govig Healthcare is partnering with a senior living community in Staten Island, New York to find an Executive Director. This leader will shape the resident experience, drive occupancy, and ensure operational excellence across all facets of the community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for daily community operations.
• Ensure exceptional resident care, service, and satisfaction across all departments.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to grow occupancy.
• Develop, mentor, and support department leaders and team members.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
• Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, expense management, and revenue targets.
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, referral partners, and the local community.
• Promote a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor quality assurance initiatives and implement best‑practice operations.
• Partner with regional leadership to execute strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 3‑5 years of leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or a related service industry.
• Proven track record managing operations, budgets, and team performance.
• Strong understanding of senior‑living regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
• Demonstrated success leading and developing high‑performing teams.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship‑building abilities.
• Results‑oriented with strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
