The Executive Director leads Georgetown University’s Office of Student Financial Aid and Student Services, shaping strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and advancing the institution’s goals for enrollment, retention, and student success.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership, administration, and oversight for all financial aid and scholarship programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
• Serve as the primary internal and external liaison for the office, advising senior leadership and external agencies.
• Develop and implement policies that enhance student access, affordability, and financial well‑being.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high‑performing financial aid team, fostering a culture of service excellence and fiscal responsibility.
• Collaborate with senior university leaders, enrollment management, finance, student affairs, development, academic deans, and IT systems to align financial aid strategy with institutional priorities.
• Represent the university with federal and state agencies, professional associations, community partners, lenders, scholarship foundations, and auditors.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in higher‑education financial aid administration and leadership.
• Proven ability to manage complex regulatory environments and large budgets.
• Strong track record of building collaborative relationships across diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Commitment to social justice, student success, and equitable access to education.

Required skills
