Community Director, Village A

About the role

The Community Director for Village A leads the residential education program for a campus community of 225‑600 students at Georgetown University. This senior position focuses on holistic student development through mentorship, programming, and partnership with faculty and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and evaluate Resident Assistants and Resident Fellows.
• Design and implement cultural, educational, and social programs aligned with Jesuit values.
• Develop individualized Educational Plans and promote leadership opportunities.
• Manage occupancy, safety, and security of the residential area.
• Collaborate with the University Police and Student Affairs on emergency response, including mental‑health crises and facility incidents.
• Participate in an on‑call/on‑site duty rotation 24/7 throughout the year.
• Support summer departmental programs, conference services, and intern housing operations.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in residential life, student affairs, or related higher‑education settings.
• Strong commitment to social justice, intellectual inquiry, and community building.
• Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and manage crisis situations.
• Excellent interpersonal and mentorship skills.
