About the role
The Executive Director will lead the K‑12 Teaching and Learning Department for the 2026‑2027 school year, overseeing instructional programs and ensuring equitable educational outcomes across the district.
Key responsibilities
- Provide effective administrative leadership for K‑12 teaching and learning initiatives.
- Promote best practices in instruction and curriculum development.
- Address the unique challenges faced by students living in poverty, emergent bilinguals, and undocumented students.
- Collaborate with district leaders to align instructional strategies with district goals.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of five years of successful administrative leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of instructional best practices and equity issues.
- Preference for candidates who are biliterate and bilingual in English and Spanish.
