Executive Director, Clinical Operations

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth at Doral is seeking an Executive Director of Clinical Operations to lead and manage its assigned clinical facilities. This senior leader will be responsible for overall operational performance, fiscal stewardship, and the delivery of high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and manage all aspects of clinical facility operations, including budgeting, patient accounting, and audit processes.
• Ensure patient, physician, and staff complaints are addressed in line with university policies.
• Develop and enforce system‑wide policies and procedures to standardize high‑quality care across locations.
• Optimize staffing models, exam‑room utilization, and patient throughput to enhance satisfaction.
• Implement innovative programs and best‑practice initiatives.
• Oversee compliance with regulatory agencies and professional standards.
• Mentor, train, motivate, and evaluate department staff.
• Plan for future growth by assessing program needs and allocating fiscal and human resources.
• Participate in organization‑wide performance improvement activities.
• Maintain internal controls, risk assessments, and compliance with laws and university policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in clinical operations or healthcare administration.
• Proven ability to lead, manage, and evaluate department operations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships.
• Experience establishing goals aligned with strategic plans.
